Norman Dave Freeman
With 20 years of experience in aviation as a Naval Aviator, Instructor Pilot and Safety Officer, my personal strengths are Aviation Safety Management Systems, Risk Management, Crew Resource Management, Pilot Training and International Relations in Spanish.
Being able to adapt to rapidly changing situations and communicate effectively in the cockpit and workplace has allowed me not only to serve as Mission Commander and Pilot In Command, but also completely revitalize the Safety Management System of our Training Wing from a near failing program to one with outstanding results on the most recent inspection while integrating a risk management mentality throughout our operations. Serving as an exchange pilot in Chile, I was recognized for vastly improving the relationship between the US and Chilean Navies. As an Instructor Pilot, I have served as the Senior Evaluator and Standardization Program Manager for the US Navy's Primary Flight Training program. As I transition to the civilian workforce over the next year, I would like a position in a major airline or corporation that would allow me in the future to serve as a Captain or Chief Pilot on international flight routes and work within their Safety Management System.
