Here’s the Story…
While I was at work a person packed up my car with everything that would fit in it and took off. My customized LPC was my prize possession out of it.
The Les Paul was highly customized. It had clear blue covers on the back. Schaller tuners, with my name scratched in the wood under them. Dimarzio pickups, a Bigsby and the best thing, a 30-watt pre-amp built for me by a friend that fit on top of the pots. It had a sticker on it that said, “Built by Lenny Muzzy for -ME- in July 76. It ran off a 9 volt battery, had a red blinking LED to show battery strength. The controls were a 30-watt gain, volume and a live bass and treble (like a stereo) instead of passive tone controls. I moved the tone pots forward and put 3 micro toggles in for phase and coil tapping.
It’s been gone 35 years, but I figure as odd as it looked it would be easily identifiable unless some weasel stripped or destroyed it? It was last seen in El Centro, Ca. on it’s way to Denver (where the thief lived).
My first wife took all my pics and records of it, so I no longer have the serial or anything, but I made a pretty exact model of it at Montag.com.
