Every tool I own was on my trailer worth about 30-40k. I have nothing left from my 30 years of construction. This is so frustrating.
The storage facility had just rented me the spot 7 hours earlier. They won’t give me a hard copy of the surveillance footage which clearly shows a U-Haul Chevy pickup driving off with my trailer and all of my tools. All the numbers on the U-Haul could be seen. There are good images of two Hispanic males hooking up my trailer to the U-Haul. My trailer even had a lock on the ball. No one challenged these two as they easily drove onto the facility and stole my equipment.
It has been 2 weeks since the theft, and to my knowledge, The Chula Vista Police Department has still not recovered the clear, 3 camera footage of the crime.
I am very depressed.
UPDATE on 10/10/2020 @ 12;37 p.m. – Just been at Chula Vista police station. They have their records of numerous tries to retrieve the footage at 2391 Fenton st…… public storage that the storage manager will not release to police without his area managers authority. The area manager has been contacted by myself and the police multiple times. He is still not giving authority to release.
(The above was submitted to Stolen 911 by the owner of the trailer)
