I teach a Ceramics class and was dashing out the door to pick up my grandson from daycare when a student asked for last-minute help on the wheel. I took off my rings and put them in a jar on the workbench and, already in my coat, helped him and then dashed off. That evening they were taken by one of my students. I know who it was because students always come down to the studio to say Happy Thanksgiving and this person did not. Nor did he answer my emails. One of the rings was a diamond that had belonged to my grandmother, so vintage 1900 or so, and the other was a silver medallion ring depicting St. George and the Dragon that was given to me 50 years ago my best friend as a protection object and very old at that time. I have pictures of the diamond ring.
