On September 5, 2026, a residential burglary occurred in the Silver Creek Valley neighborhood of San Jose, California. Burglars smashed a rear glass door to gain entry and disabled/unplugged a Ring security camera around 8:03 PM. The suspects located and physically hauled off three entire safes containing high-value heirloom Indian gold and diamond jewelry, along with cash.
The thieves gained access to the gated community by entering from a wooded area, accessible from a public road, then climbing the backyard fence.
Because three full-sized safes were removed from the property, investigators and the victim believe the suspects utilized a larger vehicle (truck, van, or large SUV) parked nearby. A formal police report has been filed with the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) under Case #26-249-0042.
On September 7, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and Los Altos Police Department contacted the family regarding certain items recovered in Los Altos (Event #26-251-0265). However, the primary high-value gold heirlooms, diamond pieces, and cash remain missing.
