On June 14, 2025, a 2008 Kenworth T800 dump truck was stolen from a hotel parking lot in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The truck, which was purchased in Florida and en route to Boston, Massachusetts, was parked outside the Quality Inn when it was taken. The victim, who had stopped to sleep after departing Florida, parked the red dump truck across four spots close to their hotel room.
Surveillance footage from the scene shows the truck being stolen around 2:35 a.m. The truck was gone by the time the victim woke up at 9 a.m. and promptly contacted the Richmond Hill Police Department to report the theft.
The 2008 Kenworth T800, bearing the Florida license plate DWC6817, is marked with distinctive decals on the doors reading “JOFRE TRUCKING SERVICES, Inc. Miami Gardens, Florida, US DOT 3532936.” The truck’s VIN is 1XKDA48X18J220412.
