Good News! Stolen Porsche RS America Recovered in Paso Robles
Paso Robles, CA – Thanks to the incredible response from the Paso Robles community, the stolen 1993 Porsche RS America is back home!
The outpouring of support after our initial press release was overwhelming. Local residents, disgusted by the theft of this classic car, became our eyes and ears. This morning, calls started pouring in with sightings of the RS America.
The turning point came around 1:00 pm today when the Paso Robles Police Department spotted the car on the back of an unmarked flatbed tow truck. Did the increased attention spook the thieves? We may never know for sure, but the investigation is ongoing, and shady characters are currently in police custody.
The community’s response was genuinely heartwarming. Even after the car was recovered, people kept calling me to report sightings, demonstrating a real commitment to seeing justice served.
We’ll share more details as the investigation unfolds. In the meantime, a huge thank you to everyone who shared the information and kept an eye out for this automotive beauty. You made a difference!

Paso Robles, CA – Calling all Porschephiles! A rare 1993 Porsche RS America, bathed in a head-turning Midnight Blue paint job, vanished from its driveway in Paso Robles, California sometime in May. The owner believes it was professionally lifted and hauled away by a trailer or tow truck, leaving a gaping hole in their collection and a heavy heart.
But what exactly is an RS America, and why would it be so appealing to thieves?

The 1993 RS America was a love letter to Porsche’s racing heritage. Built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the legendary 1973 Carrera RS and offered only in North America, this limited-edition beast was a stripped-down, lightweight masterpiece designed for pure driving pleasure.
