Case # 25-0062

The Lamborghini Urus was being driven by two individuals who had flown into Dallas the morning prior. Around 4:00 AM, while stopped at a gas station, two armed suspects approached them and pistol-whipped one of the men before fleeing with the vehicle. The victims had been at a Denny’s restaurant next door about an hour earlier, reportedly waiting on escorts — who may have tipped off the suspects.

The owner of the Lamborghini Urus told Stolen 911 that the vehicle was equipped with multiple redundant tracking systems, including a dashcam-based system and two independent GPS trackers. All of them went offline shortly after the vehicle was taken. Additionally, an Apple AirTag hidden inside the vehicle was later found discarded roughly 12 miles from the gas station. One of the suspects was seen carrying a duffle bag, raising the possibility that it may have contained a GPS and cell signal jammer — a tactic increasingly used by organized auto theft crews to disable tracking and evade recovery.

The stolen Urus is matte white and was displaying Texas license plate WGV8191. It has the following distinctive features:

  • Paint-matched fender liners
  • Lowered suspension
  • Entire interior in blue — seats, headliner, carpets
  • Red brake calipers

The 2020 Lamborghini Urus is a luxury performance SUV blending Lamborghini’s supercar DNA with utility and comfort. Known for its twin-turbo V8, aggressive styling, and six-figure price tag, the Urus is frequently targeted in high-end theft and rental fraud cases.
