🚘 About the Cadillac Calais
The Cadillac Calais was introduced in the mid-1960s as a sport-trim model within Cadillac’s full-size lineup, positioned below the DeVille. By 1970, the Calais was offered as a two-door hardtop coupe and paired Cadillac’s signature luxury styling with big V8 performance and a wide, road-dominating stance. Known for clean body lines and a classic full-size profile, the Calais shared much of its engineering with other Cadillacs of the era while appealing to buyers who wanted a slightly more understated, driver-focused luxury coupe. Today, 1970 Calais models remain sought after by collectors—especially distinctive custom builds that stand out in the classic car community.
