A theft report was made to me involving a custom 14kt white gold engagement ring taken during a household move. The owners relocated from Provo, Utah, to Verona, Wisconsin, using a moving company based out of Aurora, Colorado. While the exact location of the theft is still being investigated, the owner suspects the ring was stolen while their belongings were stored at a facility in Utah prior to transport. The ring had been originally packed inside its designated box and sealed in a bag within a larger moving box. Upon unpacking at their new home in Wisconsin, they discovered the ring box had been returned to its spot empty, indicating the thief deliberately tried to conceal the crime. The stolen Forge Jewelry Works ring features a 1.25-carat oval brilliant lab-grown diamond and has a unique metal butterfly design set underneath the diamond. This theft was formally reported to the Madison Police Department under case number 26-242591.
