Santa Ana, CA — A bomb squad was called out to investigate a strange incident involving a white Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 at the intersection of Susan Street and Harvard Street in Santa Ana.

The incident reportedly occurred on April 26, 2025 around 11:30 PM. The driver reported that while making a slow left turn in an industrial area, the Lamborghini unexpectedly “launched up.” After exiting the car, the driver discovered a cracked windshield, a damaged wheel, and a battered driver’s side front. They also noticed smoke and smelled gunpowder, suspecting a tire explosion. A friend of the driver, who witnessed the scene, even saw flames coming from the car.
The high-value Lamborghini suffered severe damage. The driver’s side front was hit with a hole in the wheel, a cracked rotor, and a deployed airbag.
The situation took a dramatic turn when the driver and witness suggested the damage might have been caused by an explosive device, prompting a call to the Bomb Squad. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad responded. A powder found at the site was reportedly confirmed to be an explosive substance, and two suspicious containers were discovered, one near the vehicle and another about 15 feet away. Crime Scene Investigators were present. No injuries, other vehicles, or arrests were reported. Santa Ana PD is continuing its investigation, Case 2025-08316.

Given the area’s history of sideshow activity, authorities speculate that a sideshow may have been happening nearby at the time or prior to the incident. Investigators are now asking the public for assistance. Did you see the Lamborghini in the area that evening? Do you have any photos or videos of the vehicle or any related events? Any footage of sideshow activity or unusual behavior near the intersection would be helpful. You can remain anonymous.
