Hollywood Hills Airbnb Heist: 2025 Range Rover Sport Snatched, Digital Plate and GPS Disabled

In the early morning hours of Thursday, October 22, 2026, a high-end 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Sport (Dynamic SE, P460 PHEV) was stolen while parked outside an Airbnb rental on Hercules Drive in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California. Investigators believe the luxury plug-in hybrid was driven away using both factory smart keys, which have not been located since the theft.

Following the break-in, electronic monitoring devices captured the vehicle traveling south toward the central Hollywood corridor. At approximately 2:47 AM PDT, both an onboard Apple AirTag and Land Rover’s internal factory GPS system recorded a final simultaneous location pin near 6857 Franklin Avenue, adjacent to the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Moments after that signal, all tracking transmissions were abruptly cut, and the vehicle’s electronic Reviver digital license plate was detached or deactivated, pointing to an organized effort to evade digital recovery.
