Modesto, CA – A classic 1930 Ford Model A has been reported stolen from a residence in the 2700 block of Whitcomb Way, Modesto. The theft occurred between approximately 8:00 PM on January 22, 2025, and 2:30 AM or 2:40 AM on January 23, 2025.

The owner reported that the black Model A, described as being in excellent condition, was parked in their backyard under a canopy.
The Ford Model A holds a significant place in automotive history. Produced from 1927 to 1931, it succeeded the Model T and became a symbol of early American automotive ingenuity. The stolen Model A bears VIN number AA36217 and California license plate 8SFM665.
A stolen vehicle report has been filed with the Modesto Police Department, case number MP25001872. Hinch Investigations, operating through Stolen 911, is leading the recovery effort.
