Reward Offered in Theft of Classic 1968 Pontiac Firebird from Fresno Property

FRESNO, CA – A reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of a stolen 1968 Pontiac Firebird that vanished overnight from a property in rural Fresno. The vehicle is normally stored at a residence on the 300 block of Kapoke Street in Lyons Oregon, but after it was driven to Fresno, CA it was stolen within two days

The vehicle was last seen at approximately 11:30 p.m. on March 6, 2025, and was discovered missing the following morning at 7:30 a.m. on March 7. The theft occurred on the 7500 block of East Central Avenue, where the classic car had been parked in front of a barn just 40 feet from the owner’s home.

The orange two-door Firebird had just arrived from Oregon and was set to be shown at the Famoso Dragstrip car show over the weekend.

The stolen vehicle is described as:

  • Make/Model: 1968 Pontiac Firebird
  • Color: Orange
  • VIN: 223378U140672
  • License Plate: 766KZQ (Oregon)
  • Distinguishing Feature: “NHRA” sticker inside the passenger door panel

A stolen vehicle report was filed with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, case number 25-2471.
