Did the Plumber Do It?

Delavan, WI – On August 5, 2025, jewelry was reported stolen from a home on the 200 block of Spring Lane in Delavan, Wisconsin. The homeowner alleges that after a plumber from an Elkhorn-based company installed a toilet, he rummaged through a bathroom cabinet and took the jewelry. The victim, age 69, stated that no one else has been in the bathroom in more than two years. A report was filed with the Delavan Police Department under case number 25-023983.

The victim emphasized that the stolen pieces are irreplaceable family heirlooms gifted during their lifetime from now-deceased parents. Many items carry both financial and deep sentimental value.

Rings Reported Stolen:

  • 10K gold plain signet ring with a manmade sapphire — a rare 1964 Jostens employee sample
  • Mother’s platinum wedding band (Peacocks Jewelers) set with 16 small diamonds
  • 14K gold ring with center emerald and 2 small side diamonds
  • Tiny sterling silver flower-shaped turquoise ring (custom repaired to be extra small)
  • 18K Thai princess ring in black pyramid-shaped box set with assorted rubies, sapphires, and emeralds

Bracelets Reported Stolen:

  • 18K filigree bangle
  • Serpentine chain bracelet
  • Vermeil/sterling bangle with clasp and chain
  • Antique chain bracelet with 9 natural pearls spaced throughout

Pendants Reported Stolen:

  • Gold filigree heart
  • Tiny jumping/dancing deer
  • Pumping fist pendant
  • Small gold rectangle with center ruby surrounded by tiny diamonds
  • One-of-a-kind platinum freeform pendant set with 3 purple star rubies/sapphires

The victim shared that, although the jewelry had not been worn often in recent years, the sentimental connection to their parents makes the loss devastating.
