TRACY, CA – Authorities are requesting the public’s assistance to locate a red 2011 Cadillac CTS-V stolen from a residential neighborhood on March 17, 2026. The high-performance vehicle was taken at approximately 2:30 AM and was last seen heading west toward Livermore, then into Oakland.
The vehicle features several distinct aftermarket customizations, including black rims, black tinted windows, and unique carbon fiber details on the grill and rear spoiler, distinguishing it from standard models.
Investigative Analysis: The V-Series Target
The Cadillac CTS-V, particularly from this generation (2009–2014), has been designated a high-target vehicle due to its potent 6.2L V8 engine. These vehicles are frequently targeted for illicit export or specialized “strip for parts” operations. Because thousands of CTS-V enthusiasts are modifying these cars, there is a substantial underground market for V-Series components like the LSA engine, transmission, and differential.
The Bay Area Connection
The report that this vehicle was seen heading immediately toward Oakland is a critical lead. Organized theft groups often use I-580 to rapidly move stolen vehicles from the Central Valley into the Bay Area, where they are “cooled off” in public parking areas to check for trackers or immediately loaded into shipping containers for export.
Official Reporting
A formal report has been filed with the Tracy Police Department under Report #26-1424.
This case is Now being Investigated by Marc Hinch, retired California Highway Patrol Auto Theft Investigator and founder of Stolen 911 / Hinch Investigations.
