A theft report was made to me involving a Fender Jim Root Stratocaster electric guitar, stolen during a residential burglary in Chapmanville, West Virginia on July 1, 2025. The owner states that while he was hospitalized receiving medical care, his mother hired his nephew to work on the home’s hardwood floors. The nephew, along with his girlfriend and other associates, reportedly stayed at the residence during this time. Upon the owner’s return, he discovered the house had been burglarized, the gas line was left open, and narcotics were left on the premises, which were subsequently handed over to the Chapmanville Police Department for destruction. The only significant item missing from the home was this Matte Black Fender guitar, serial number US20039045, which the owner purchased with his own funds. The owner suspects the individuals hired to work on the house took the instrument. A police report has been filed with the Chapmanville Police Department. I am seeking tips to help recover this stolen guitar and return it to its rightful owner.
