At the time, the victim was a college student. The saxophone was kept inside a distinctive black gig case featuring pockets and a rope handle. Several accessories were also stolen with the instrument, including a tuner, reeds, a mouthpiece, and a ligature. The owner has retained the original police report, is offering a reward, and is hoping the instrument surfaces during resale or when taken in for maintenance.
