Investigation Underway Into Theft of 2020 Ferrari Portofino During Commercial Transport – REWARD

,

CALIFORNIA – Investigators are seeking information regarding the theft of a black 2020 Ferrari Portofino that disappeared while under contract for commercial vehicle transport between December 23 and December 27, 2025.

The Ferrari, identified by VIN ZFF89FPA2L0249240 and bearing California license plate C633E1, was reported stolen to the Irvine Police Department under case number 25-14272.

According to the investigation, the vehicle was contracted for transport from a storage facility in Irvine, California, with a destination of Boca Raton, Florida. A subcontracted transport driver took possession of the Ferrari on the afternoon of December 23, 2025.

Communication with the vehicle owner ceased until the morning of December 27, 2025, when an individual claiming to represent the driver demanded immediate payment via a digital transfer service—despite the contract specifying Cash on Delivery. When the payment was refused, the driver claimed the Ferrari had already been released days earlier.

The driver later told law enforcement that the Ferrari was released to an unidentified male at the intersection of W. 64th Street and Fair Place in South Los Angeles. The driver reportedly accepted a digitally displayed identification shown on a mobile phone as proof of identity and did not collect the required payment before releasing the vehicle.
