Since the theft, it’s possible that the 1950 Jaguar XK 120 has been repainted, parted out, or had identifying numbers altered. Buyers, collectors, and shops should use extreme caution when presented with an XK 120 matching this description without clear ownership history and documentation.
🏁 About the Jaguar XK 120
Introduced at the 1948 London Motor Show, the Jaguar XK 120 was a landmark sports car that helped redefine post-war performance. Its “120” badge referred to its claimed 120 mph top speed, making it the fastest production car in the world at the time. Early XK 120s were built in limited numbers with lightweight bodywork, and the model quickly earned a reputation on both road and track.

With its long hood, flowing fenders, and low roadster profile, the XK 120 became an icon of British sports car design. Today, surviving examples from the early production years are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Their rarity and value make them especially vulnerable to theft, export schemes, and fraudulent sales involving altered paperwork or cloned identities.
This particular Jaguar XK 120, identified by VIN S670132 and California plate 9RFP277, would stand out in most collections, shops, or classic car events. Any sudden appearance of a 1950 XK 120 with questionable documentation, recent paint, or incomplete provenance should raise immediate concern.
